Another part of my news report will feature me talking to the camera. Just like this example below:
As you can see aperture is also an important part of this shot - you can see just like the other shots that the foreground (the reporter is in focus) whereas the background is more blurred. Therefore using the aperture chart above I will probably use an aperture of around f/16,
As I want to create a BBC news style report on the UK's problem with prescription drugs - one of the important components of this report will be an interview with a health expert e.g. doctor/pharmacist.
I want to have a shot like this in my news report. As you can see most of this shot is in focus however the background is slightly more blurred than the foreground (the doctor) therfore I will probably need aperture of around f16.
As the interview is not moving quickly e.g. like a runner in a sport event I won't need a really high ISO - I will probably need to set the ISO to around 200 ISA.
In terms of the shutter speed as I will be using the Canon 5D - this can record 1080p full HD at 50 fps - and I have therefore found out the optimum shutter speed is 1/100 or 1/125.

This screenshot was taken from a BBC News report. As you can see the interviewee (Prime Minister: Boris Johnson) is in focus in the foreground and the background is more blurred. In fact this background is more blurred than the first image therefore the aperture is lower e.g. f5.6.

Using the EOS 5D
Here I am adjusting the aperture. The lower the aperture the more the camera focused on the foreground, and the background became more blurry. On the other hand the more you increase the aperture everything in the shot comes into focus.
